Eurasian Hobby

Tiana and I joined a couple of birders in durbanville to see the Eurasian Hobby and after a long wait and all the light had gone it turned up.Of cause as luck would have it I had no flash with me , so this will do for now.

The Hobby brought my total up to 658 Photographed birds and Tiana now up to 650 birds.

Bairds Sandpiper

Tiana , Jessica , Olivia and myself drove down to Wadrift Salt Pan just north of Eland’s Bay to go and look at the Baird’s Sandpiper found yesterday.
We all had stunning views of the bird which was a full lifer for all of us.

European Oystercatcher

Tiana ,Jessica and myself took a drive out to Yzerfontein this morning in search of the European Oystercatcher that had been found yesterday.

Black-headed Gull

This morning Tiana Stanton ,John Graham , Graham Searll , Trevor Hardaker any myself went through to Paarl Sewage to seek the COMMON BLACK-HEADED GULL that Michiel Moll had seen Yesterday. Upon arriving Graham and Naas had already seem the bird and we needed to find it again.After about 45min of searching Tiana spotted it again.Excellent Views were had by all of the Bird. This bringing my total of Photographed birds for Southern Africa too 652 and Tiana’s List to 643.

Allen’s Gallinule

Well John Graham had an excellent Sunday with also getting good views of Allen’s Gallinule at Strandfontein Sewage Works.
I went down this morning to Get some shots and it worked out very well.

Baillon’s Crake

Its always good to get a Bird Lifer. Thanx to John Graham’s keen eyes we got another big lifer today in the form of a Baillon’s Crake at Strandfontein.
